Delrin Leather Stamps
What type of leather should I use?
What type of leather should I use?
Our stamps are designed for vegetable-tanned leather only. Chrome-tanned or finished leathers will not hold an impression.
What tools do I need?
What tools do I need?
For recommended use, use an arbor press rated 0.5-ton or larger.
Press plates (or flat wood blocks) are required to apply steady, even pressure and properly distribute force across the stamp and leather.
You will also need to lightly dampen the leather before pressing — either with a wet sponge or a fine mist sprayer.
If you do not have an arbor press, a C-clamp may be used.
Can I use a mallet or hammer?
Can I use a mallet or hammer?
No. Our stamps are not designed to be struck.
Use steady, even pressure with a press or clamp only. Striking the stamp can cause permanent damage and is not considered normal use.
Can I heat my stamp?

Applying heat can warp or melt the material and ruin the design.
How many impressions can I get from a stamp?

What is Delrin/Acetal?
What is Delrin/Acetal?
Delrin® is a brand name for acetal — a durable engineering-grade plastic known for its strength, stability, and low friction. It’s widely used in precision machining because it holds detail extremely well and resists wear over time.
For leather stamping, Delrin offers a clean, crisp impression and long-lasting performance — without the high cost of brass.
